My oldest son turned 8 and really wanted an American Ninja Warrior birthday party!
T-shirts using the various logos…
Headbands and necklaces were the party favors, I made special ones for my birthday boy!
I cut up a half of a yard of both red and blue fabric then added their names with heat transfer vinyl.
I got some necklaces from the party store and print out some medals for the kiddos.
I LOVE making cake pops! Here’s my Logan helping me cook!
cake pops dipped in a little candy melt, then put in freezer to secure
My littlest helper Kellen!!
I also cut out the “Owen 8” decals using vinyl and layering with cardstock.
More on this later…BUT I really love the “offset” button on my Silhouette Cameo and use it a ton to make layers on cards and decals like this. It takes much much longer to do this on Cricut as they do not have an offset feature.
headbands & necklaces…
This is a little story about the day…
#themotherhoodisreal as we say at Fit4Mom – the day wasn’t perfect…I drove 3 kids to the party and tried quickly decorate all by myself – running up and down the stairs to try to finish before the guests arrived, while my husband got the pizza and arrived after the party started…let’s face it the kids were full of excitement and couldn’t follow through with anything helpful…
only to realize left an ENTIRE box at home full of goody bags, plates, cups, napkins, grapes, carrots – you know the stuff besides the pizza, Capri Suns and cake pops? This was our first party not at home so it was supposed to be less stress right?!
Turned out to be a pretty awesome parkour obstacle course including the warped wall, but one shy little bro wasn’t allowed to participate unless he warmed up with the group…I felt so bad and was relieved the owner finally let him go with a parent at the end.
We ended up with sweaty, tired, proud, happy kiddos eating their pizza and enjoying their cake pops with their headbands and necklaces…didn’t notice the missing veggies & goody bags…and my birthday boy said it was the BEST day of his life – so I’ll take that as a win!
Here are my 3 cuties – Owen, Logan & Kellen…
